I've been a game developer for 25 years now and many engines take advantage of instancing, gpu computing, and lots of computation tricks that make processing a lot faster than they used to be. A lot of people give simulators a pass because "they have to calculate all of those expensive physics and render lots of meshes on top of that" but that hasn't been true for a long time now. There are many simulators that have amazing graphics and still perform great on lower end hardware. I already know a lot of people will say "a simulator isn't about graphics" but we've been saying that for too long now.

We have all this great technology and resources, and most games still looks like MSTS. Graphics : I have been dissapointed by many games like Run8 because of their graphics.

Perhaps you dislike graphics or physics or the way a certain game handles a feature. I want to hear what you hate or don't like about your favorite train sim games. However, I'm not interested in that! I always hear good praises about these games, but obviously none of them are perfect. And I'm sure a lot of us could go on and on about how much we love these games and what they do right. We have TSW, Run8, Derail Valley, MSTS, and more. We've got a lot of choice when it comes to Train Sims. It's for fair criticism or your wishes for train sims in the future. I want to make it clear, this is not a thread to just dunk on a game you don't like.
